Dorothy Kaye Boria, 86, of Grand Rapids, formerly Minnnetonka, Minnesota, passed away on Wednesday, January 1, 2014, surrounded by her loving family.
Dorothy was born in Hibbing, Minnesota to Ralph and Viola Kniffin on October 2, 1927. Dorothy graduated from the Duluth Minnesota Business College and went on to work at the Hibbing Daily Tribune. Dorothy moved to Minnetonka with her husband in 1952, where she raised her family and was committed to volunteering for local organizations. Dorothy was an avid sports fan, also enjoying travel, reading, games, dancing, and movies, but most of all spending time with her family and many friends at their lake residence.
Dorothy is preceded in death by her parents, Ralph and Viola (Babe); and brother Dean.
She is survived by her husband Dante; four Children Daniel (Nancy) Boria of Minnetonka, MN, Peter (Lori) Boria of New Hope, MN, Carla (Jeff) Weiss of Minnetonka, MN, and Patrick Boria of Minneapolis, MN; three grand-daughters (Cortney, Jaime, and Angela), and five great grandchildren (Oliviah, Dylan, Ella, Jack and Araceli)
