Dorothy Marie Erickson, 85, Eveleth, formerly of Cherry, died Saturday, November 2, 2013 at St. Raphael’s Care Center in Eveleth.  She was born in Fairmont, ND,  to August and Cora Sauter on June 12, 1928 and married Leland Erickson on July 3, 1954 in Aitkin, MN. Besides living in Aitkin, Dorothy made her home in Fridley, MN, and since 1986 in Cherry.
She is survived by her husband, Leland, siblings, Delores Vake, Chisholm, Lois Anderson, Cherry, John Sauter, Cherry, and Donald (Gerri) Sauter, Makinen, MN, her sister in law, Shirley Sauter, Cherry, and many nieces and nephews.  Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents, her siblings, Marcella Goerdt, James Sauter, Corrine Malander, and August Sauter Jr., brothers in law, Otto Goerdt, Tom Vake, Russell Malander, and Jack Anderson, sisters in law, Louise Sauter and Sharon Sauter.
Memorial services will be held at 2:00 pm. Thursday, November 7, 2013 in the Dougherty Funeral Home, Hibbing with visitation for one hour before the service.
