Dorothy Evelyn Grammer
Dorothy E. Grammer, 86, longtime resident of Hibbing, died Friday, April 11, 2014, at Virginia Convalescent Center in Virginia. She was born on July 29, 1927 to Claude and Eileen (Lupieo) Brown in Marquette City, MI. She was employed most recently as a bookkeeper at Kahler Park Hotel in Hibbing. She was a member of VFW Post 8510 Ladies Auxiliary, a former member of St. Leo’s Catholic Church in Hibbing, the Loyal Order of the Moose, a past Commander and Quartermaster for VFW Post 1221 in Hibbing, and her area bowling league.
She is survived by her two sons, George (Deborah) Morell, and James “Jay” Grammer both of Hibbing, her sister, Shirley Oberstar, Hibbing, and brother, Raymond Brown, five grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services for Dorothy will be held at 1:00pm, Thursday, April 17, 2014 at Dougherty Funeral Home of Hibbing. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home on Thursday. Interment will be in Maple Hill Cemetery of Hibbing.
