Dorothy M. Hallack
Dorothy M. Hallack, 87, Hibbing died Tuesday, December 24, 2013 at the Hillcrest Alice in Hibbing. She was born on February 6, 1926 to Arne and Mayme (Plukka) Immonen on Dupont Hill in the supervisor’s home in Hibbing. She was a graduate of the Hibbing High School and the Hibbing Junior College. She worked for the Department of the Navy during WWII. In 1946, she married and raised her family in Hibbing. She was employed as the head bookkeeper for the Mesaba Clinic where she worked for 42 years. Dorothy was very active in local bowling leagues, the Hibbing Curling Club, the Municipal Golf Course, and the Order of the Eastern Star, the Mesaba Chapter.
She is survived by her four girls, Jill (Jack) Trenberth, Side Lake, MN., Ginger (Robert) Collyard, Brooklyn Center, MN., Carol (John) Koivisto, Chisholm, MN., and Kristine (Ron) Frederick, Champlin, MN., eight grandchildren, Ryan (Jamie) Trenberth, Hibbing, MN., Kyle Trenberth, St. Paul, MN., Molly (Ryan) Lehmann, St. Michael, MN., Justin (Michelle Harlander) Koivisto, Chisholm, MN., Derek (Veronica) Koivisto, Chisholm, MN., Cole Frederick, Connor Frederick, and Annelise Frederick, all of Champlin, MN., eight great-grandchildren, Maggie and Ethan Trenberth, Sundry, Sierra, and Alex Koivisto, Harper, Finley, and Emerson Lehmann. She was preceded in death by her parents, and her former spouse, Robert Hallack.
Funeral services for Dorothy will be held a11:00am, Friday, December 27, 2013 at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Hibbing. The Rev. Brian Birk will officiate. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the funeral service at the church on Friday.
