Dorothy Ann Hofferbert

Dorothy Ann Hofferbert, 78, longtime resident of Hibbing died Saturday, March 2, 2019 at Fairview Range Medical Center in Hibbing.  She was born March 22, 1940 to Harold and Mable (Kranz) Booen in Woodside Township, near Parker’s Prairie, MN.  Dorothy married Edwin E. Hofferbert on October 26, 1957 in Wrightstown, MN.  She was a member of the Good Sams Club, Wilpen Community Club, and past member of First Lutheran Church in Hibbing.   She was employed as a supervisor with Hibbing Electronics.  Dorothy was a lover of music and played the accordion.  She enjoyed flowers, gardening, and baking as some other pastimes throughout her life.

Dorothy is survived by her three daughters, Donna (Kevin) Bautch, Hibbing, Dana (Lenny) Rivera, Grand Junction, CO, and Vicki (Kevin Timmerman) Zaitz, Kelly Lake, MN, eight grandchildren, Miranda (Jake) Ridlon, Chris (Moneque Loberg) Bautch, Jeffrey Zaitz, Andy Peterson, Ashley (Isaac) Hudson, Kirsten Peterson, Mikayla Stocker, and Christopher Rivera, 10 great-grandchildren, Blake Zaitz, Skylar Zaitz, Birdee Johnson, Gunner Hudson, Arizona Ridlon, Caroline Ridlon, Everly Stocker, Colton Stocker, Kassidy Warmbold, and Trista Warmbold, her brothers and sisters; Shirley, Lois, Avis, Donald, Nora, Lyle, and Gloria, and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Harold and Mable (Kranz) Booen, husband, Edwin E. Hofferbert in October of 2016, and siblings, Lloyd, Norma, Robert, Richard, and Kenneth.

Funeral services for Dorothy will be 1:30 pm, Thursday, March 7, 2019 at Dougherty Funeral Home of Hibbing.  The Rev. Sarah Fike will officiate.  Visitation will be one hour prior to the funeral service at the funeral home on Thursday.   A private interment will be in Maple Hill Cemetery of Hibbing.  A reception in Dorothy’s honor will be held at Sunrise Bakery immediately following the funeral service.  Everyone is invited to attend.  Arrangements are with the Dougherty Funeral Home of Hibbing.
