Dorothy Kokko Simkins, 92, Hibbing died Wednesday November 8, 2017 at Home Sweet Home. She was born in Hibbing to George and Anna (Sturk) Kokko on August 18, 1925. She was active in the community spearheading the Androy Committee, had been president of the Hibbing Historical society served on the board of the St. Louis County Historical Society and was active both on and off the stage in theater.
She is survived by relatives Patricia Sturk, Grand Rapids, and Robert (Bonnie) Sturk, Bovey. She was preceded in death by her husband Richard E. Simkins in 1987.
Memorial services will be held at 11:00 am., Monday November 20, 2017 in the Dougherty Funeral Home with Deacon Richard Johnston officiating. Visitation will be for one hour before the service. She will be buried with her husband in Jefferson, TX.
