Dorothy A. Stish, 84, Nashwauk, MN, passed on, Sunday, May 29, 2016, surrounded by her family in Grand Rapids, MN. She was born Oct. 23, 1931, in Nashwauk to Edward and Hilma Prosch. She was a lifelong resident of the Cloverdale community and had married John Stish on June 10, 1951. Dorothy loved the outdoors, especially the time spent in Dad’s garlic patch, tending her flower and vegetable gardens and cutting the grass, which she did until she was 83. Her life was dedicated to the family she loved.
She is survived by her children Edward (Susan) Stish of Balsam, MN and Susan (Richard) Reinhart of Little Bear Lake, MN; her sister, Lorraine Michael of River Falls, WI; six grandchildren: Cari, Cami, Chad Mandy, Kelly and Becky; 10 great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, John; her parents; and her sister, Norma Smith.
Funeral services will be held at 11: 00 a.m. Friday, June 3, 2016 in Nashwauk Lutheran Church. The Rev. Aaron Lofgren will officiate. Visitation will be in the church, Friday. from 10 a.m. until service time. Arrangements are with Dougherty Funeral Home.
