Douglas A. Hansen, 77, Hibbing, and longtime resident of Ridgecrest, CA died Thursday, October 7, 2021 at Fairview University Medical Center-Mesabi in Hibbing.  He was born June 11, 1944 to Albert and Elizabeth Hansen in Hibbing.  Douglas was employed as an electrical engineer with Arker-Kavarner.  He had resided in Ridgecrest, CA for the past 20 years, moving to Hibbing recently.  He was an American Legion Member in Ridgecrest, along with the Senior Center, and NRA.  Some of his favorite pastimes included, building race cars, guns, and motorcycles.

He is survived by his children, Timothy Hansen, Angora, MN, Jeffrey Hansen of Texas, and Lori Hansen, Hibbing, MN, his step-children, Mike Cook, Billy (Nicole) Cook, Rodney Cook, and Jamie Reid, special sister-in-law, Elizabeth Cook, step-grandchildren, Mikayla Cook, Rachel Cook, Randy Cook, Brianna Cook, and Albert Cook, his dear companion, Virginia Kinkel, Wells, NV, five grandchildren, Ashley, Chandelle, Katy, Sheyenne, and Darienne, four great-grandchildren, Braeden, Layla, Bentely, and Adrianna.  He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Barbara McPheron.

Funeral services for Doug will be 1:00 pm, Saturday, November 6, 2021 at the Dougherty Funeral Home of Hibbing.  His daughter, Lori Hansen will officiate.  Visitation will be one hour prior to the memorial service at the funeral home on Saturday.  Arrangements are with the Dougherty Funeral Home of Hibbing.
