Duane L. Kimble, 66, Hibbing, died Wednesday, August 14, 2013, at Essentia St. Mary’s Hospital, Duluth. He was born in Minneapolis on Sept. 22, 1946, to Earl and Eleanor Kimble. Duane had worked as a janitor at West St. Paul City Hall for 27 years, retiring in 2012. He lived most of his life in Minneapolis and West St. Paul, and had moved to Hibbing a year ago. Duane was liked by everyone he met.
He is survived by six siblings: Elaine (Tim) Pearson, Circle Pines, MN, Shirley Godwin, Hibbing, Ricky (Osa) Kimble, Turon, KS, Terry Kimble, Springfield, MO, Rodney (Denise) Kimble, Milaca, MN, and Bev (Ray Angevine) Wright, Little Falls, MN; and by numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral services will be held at 1PM Thursday, August 22, 2013, at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, Hibbing. The Rev. Dr. Dave Stevens will officiate. Visitation will be in the church on Thursday from 12 Noon until the service time. Arrangements are with Dougherty Funeral Home, Hibbing.
