Elizabeth Ann Solonsky

Elizabeth Ann Solonsky, Hibbing, died Tuesday, April 26, 2016, at Heritage Manor in Chisholm.  She was born on the 18 ^th of February in Nanticoke, Pennsylvania.  Elizabeth worked in civil service for the United States government, retiring with the rank of Major.  During her career in civil service, she lived all over the world.  When she lived in New Mexico, Elizabeth served on the governor’s council on aging and also volunteered for the American Red Cross.  She had lived at Lee Center in Hibbing for the past three years, where she enjoyed time with her many new friends.

She is survived by three children:  Stephanie (Don) Kimball, Pat (Bob) Ives, and John Solonsky; by five grandchildren; and by numerous great-grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her husband, parents and siblings.

Visitation will be Saturday, April 30, 2016, at Dougherty Funeral Home, Hibbing, from 9 AM until the 10 AM funeral service.  Interment will be in Maple Hill Cemetery, Hibbing.  To leave an online message of condolence, please visit www.doughertyofhibbing.com .
