Emily attended Blackduck schools where she and her twin sister, Emie “Chub” along with brothers and sisters were active in various activities.
On January 22, 1944, Emily was united in marriage to Robert “Bob” Jacobson in Blackduck. During the winters they were avid sports fans, following youth and high school hockey.
She was especially fond of watching ice skating shows, and walking along Townline Road. Emily and Bob enjoyed traveling in their motor home and visiting friends in Minnesota and Canada. A special vacation was their trip to Hawaii 25 years after Bob’s military service.
