Esther Bernice "Happy" Edmonds
Esther B. "Happy" Edmonds, 75, Hibbing, died Monday, April 8, 2013, at Fairview University Medical Center—Mesabi, Hibbing.  She was born in Hibbing, MN on April 22, 1937, to John and Esther Poirier.  Esther was united in marriage to Richard Edmonds on March 15, 1952, and had worked in various area restaurants.  She took great pride in her homemaking and cooking skills and delighted in taking care of those around her.  After Richard died, Esther moved to Florida, where she lived for over twenty years, returning to Hibbing six years ago.  She was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church.
She is survived by four children:  Terry (Kathleen) Edmonds of Hibbing, Roxanne (Harold) Matrious of Blaine, MN, Suzanne Edmonds of Hibbing, and Joanne (John) Petrangelo of Hibbing; a brother, Gordon (Nancy) Poirier of Hibbing; two sisters, Alberta (Rudy) Christenson of Hibbing, and Jeanette “Chicki” Poirier of Georgia; 13 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard, in 1983; her significant other of many years, George Indergaard; a son, Garry Edmonds; her parents; sisters Betty Renneck and Joyce Schwartz, and a great-grandson, Kaeden Frand.
Visitation will be Wednesday April 17, 2013, at Wesley United Methodist Church, Hibbing, from 10—11 AM.
Funeral service will be 11 AM Wednesday at Wesley United Methodist Church, Hibbing.  Interment will be in Maple Hill Cemetery, Hibbing.  Arrangements are with Dougherty Funeral Home, Hibbing.   To leave a message of condolence, please visit www.doughertyofhibbing.com.
