Eunice Janet “Penny” Gustafson
Eunice J. “Penny” Gustafson, 89, Nashwauk, died peacefully on Sunday, November 25, 2012, at Retama Manor in Weslaco, TX.  She was born on March 13, 1923, to Andrew and Grace (Mundy) Kent in Grand Rapids, MN.  She grew up in Grand Rapids where she graduated from high school.  A homemaker by trade, Penny was a member of Nashwauk Lutheran Church in Nashwauk and her local church circle.  Penny was very creative; she enjoyed cake decorating and sewing.  She was artistic that way.  Penny also enjoyed gardening and canning.  She loved fishing and was known as the “Crappie Lady” on Lawrence Lake.
She is survived by her son, Dennis (Punky) Gustafson, Farmington, MN; a daughter, Constance (Edward) Gersich, Bemidji, MN; her brother, Wallace (Micki) Kent, Ontario, OR; four grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ernie, in 2010; her parents, Andrew and Grace (Mundy) Kent; nine sisters and two brothers.
Funeral services for Penny will be held at 10:00 AM, Saturday, December 8, 2012, at Nashwauk Lutheran Church in Nashwauk.  Rev. Dorothy Sand will officiate.  Visitation will be held from 4-6 PM on Friday, December 7, 2012 at Nashwauk Lutheran church and will continue one hour prior to the funeral service at the church on Saturday.  Interment will be in Lakeview Cemetery, Coleraine, MN.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to Nashwauk Lutheran Church.
