Florence M. Techar
Florence M. Techar, 84, Kitzville, died Friday, February 20, 2015 at Heritage Manor in Chisholm.  She was born in Hibbing to William and Mary (Repesh) Gutzwiller on March 7, 1930, and married William Techar on November 22, 1947, in Hibbing.  Florence lived for her husband, children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren who were the loves of her life.  She enjoyed dancing with her husband, polka music, theater and musicals, The Lawrence Welk Show, cross country skiing and traveling anywhere, especially to polka fests and two trips to Yugoslavia.  She had been a sales clerk at the Sunrise Bakery for over 22 years and waitressed at the Mesaba Country Club for a number of summers.    Florence was a member of the Kitzville Senior Club and Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church.
She is survived by her children: Marilyn (Jon) Swenson, Little Falls; William (Pat) Techar, Hibbing,  Frank (Maria) Techar, Toronto, Ontario, and Shelly Techar, Edina; sistersL Helen (Gordon) Kelly, Moorhead,  Ruth (Jim) Hanley, Hibbing, Louise (Larry) Ochsner, Buhl, and Sandra Gutzwiller, Minneapolis;  7 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren; and by sisters-in-law Frances Rapovich and Josephine Fryckman.   She was preceded in death by her husband, William Techar, on May 14, 2010; her parents; and sister, Kathryn Kennedy.
Funeral services will be held at 11 AM Monday, March 2, 2015, in Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church with the Rev. Fr. Gabriel Waweru celebrating the Mass of Christian Burial. Visitation will be for one hour before Mass in the Church.  Burial will be in Maple Hill Cemetery.  Pallbearers will be grandchildren Trevor and Nathan Swenson,  Meggan Ranta,  Billy Techar, Kelly Ley,  and Kristina and Alexandra Techar.
The family would like to thank the excellent staff at Serving Hands Assisted Living and Heritage Manor in Chisholm for the wonderful care Florence received.
