Frank Chamernick

Frank Chamernick, 87, Hibbing, died Monday, Jan. 8, 2018 in the Heritage Manor Health Care Center, Chisholm, MN.  He was born Sept. 1, 1930 in Hibbing, the son of Joseph and Catherine Chamernick.  Frank married Marilyn Rushfeldt in Hibbing and had worked various jobs until he joined the Hibbing police Dept., retiring after 30 years of service.  He loved spending time with his family especially at the summer cabin on Beatrice Lake.  He also loved to hunt and fish.

He is survived by his wife Marilyn, his children Frank (Cindy) Chamernick, Gail Chamernick, Sue (Scott) Anderson, Peter Chamernick, and David (Sandy) Chamernick all of Hibbing, Paula (Mike) Hagar of Little Bear Lake, MN, James Chamernick of Hibbing and Alison (Matt) Sorenson of Hibbing, 2 brothers: Matt (Tammy) Chamernick of Minneapolis, MN, Edward Chamernick of Hibbing, a sister Mary Ann Phillips of Seattle, WA, 8 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by his parents, a son Steve, 3 brothers and a sister.

Funeral services will be held at 12 Noon in the Dougherty Funeral Home on Sat. Jan. 13, 2018.  Visitation will be in the funeral home from 11 a.m. until service time.  Burial will be in the Maple Hill Cemetery, Hibbing.
