Frank Edward Genise
Frank Edward Genise, 65, Hibbing, died Monday, April 8, at home surrounded by his family and friends, after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born in Hibbing to Angelo and Yvonne Genise on October 24, 1947 and married Dionilla Stanich in the Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church on March 22, 1969.  Frank was a member of the Plumbers and Pipefitters Local # 589 in Virginia, MN for over 45 years.  He enjoyed hunting, fishing, woodworking, and time at the cabin.  Family and friends were very important to Frank especially his grandchildren.  He was always willing and happy to help his family and friends with any project.
Frank is survived by his wife of 44 years, Dionilla, two children, Jon (Paula) Genise, Sartell, MN, and Dina (David “Stu”) Stucynski, Farmington, MN, his grandchildren, Nicole, Devon, Dylan, and Geno, 1 brother and 2 sisters.  He was preceded in death by his parents, step mother Evelyn, father and mother in law, Louis and Fran Stanich, and brother in law, Dick Stanich.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am., Friday, April 12, 2013 in the Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church with the Rev. Gabriel Waweru celebrating the Mass of Christian Burial.  Visitation will be from 5:00 to 8:00 pm. Thursday in the Dougherty Funeral Home and continue in Church on Friday at 10:00 am. Pallbearers will be, Mike Hukka, Tony Galli, Dick Petrie, Gary Hooper, Craig Johnson, Rick Stanich, Merty Hirt, and Mark Pederson.  Honorary pallbearers will be, Al Rootes, Matt Maki, Marty Ban, John Grahak, John Gilbertson, and Gary Lewerer.  In lieu of flowers memorials are preferred to North Star Hospice in Hibbing.
