Frank T. Lockhart, 71, Chisholm, MN, died Friday, Jan. 1, 2016 in his home.  Frank was born May 11, 1944 in Blue Island, IL to Charles and Irene Lockhart.  He moved with his family to Hibbing, MN as a young boy and after graduating from Hibbing High School he served in the US Navy.  Upon his return Frank had worked at Hibbing Taconite for 28 years as a welder.  He had lived in Lavell Township for many years where he liked to think of himself as a “gentlemen” farmer.  In his free time he loved to spend time at his cabin and fish on Lake Vermilion.

He is survived by his children Chuckie (Kelly) of Chisholm Shon Lockhart of Gary, IN and Heather Lockhart of Gary, IN, his siblings Marlene Lockhart of Hibbing, Patricia Corradi of Hibbing, Ron (Deb) Lockhart of Chisholm, Mike (Lynn) Lockhart of Lake Vermilion and Joei Spindler of Minneapolis, MN, numerous grandchildren, nieces and nephews and a special godchild Chris Paolo.  He was preceded in death by his wife Mercedes, his parents, a sister Frances “DeeDee” Paolo and his brother in law Frank Paolo.

As per Frank’s wishes, no funeral services will be held at this time.  A celebration of his life will be held this summer on a sunny day on Lake Vermilion.
