Freda Fae Sanders, 96, Hibbing, died Monday, June 03, 2013, at Guardian Angels Health Care Center.  She was born in Lake Itasca, MN on August 14, 1916, to Martin and Alvira (Pearson) Boldt, and had lived in Hibbing for over 70 years.  Freda was a longtime member of Chisholm Baptist Church, where she had served as the church historian, Sunday school teacher, and superintendant of the elementary department.  She enjoyed competitive bread baking, ceramics, knitting, flowers, and many different crafts, including handmade greeting cards with pressed flowers.
She is survived by three children:  Patricia Broten of Galesburg, MI, Bruce (Sheila) Sanders of Coon Rapids, MN, and Jerry  Sanders of Hibbing; two sisters:  Alvira Faith (Louis) Sigourney of Springfield, MO and Lois (Dale) Skramsted of Minneapolis; 11 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild; and by numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Clyde Sanders, in 1985; an infant son, Jerald Sanders; a daughter, Shirley Larsen in 1995; a son-in-law, Larry Broten; her parents; a sister, Joyce Knight; and  brothers Guy Boldt, Basil Boldt, Glynn Boldt, Adrian Boldt, Wayne Boldt, and C. Lucas Boldt.
Visitation will be at Dougherty Funeral Home, Hibbing, on Thursday, June 6, 2013, from (either 5—7 PM.  Visitation will continue on Friday, June 7, at Chisholm Baptist Church from 10 AM until the 11 AM funeral service.  Interment will be in Maple Hill Cemetery, Hibbing.  To leave a message of condolence, please visit www.doughertyofhibbing.com.
