Gary H. Anderson
Gary H. Anderson, 59, Hibbing, died peacefully, Thursday, Sept. 12, 2013 in his home. He was born May 15, 1954 in Grand Rapids, MN to Ole and Clara Anderson. He took up drumming when he was 12 and had played in many bands beginning with The Pattersons and ending with The Jitter’s Band. He had worked for Irathane Systems in Hibbing for many years. While working there he was a sandblaster and later, as he liked to call himself, he was a “Master of Triminology”. In his spare time Gary loved to fish, play guitar, spend time woodworking and he also built and collected model cars.
He is survived by his wife Karen Anderson, children; Jaime (Deon) Foust of Balsam, MN, Freddie (Amy) Anderson of Keewatin, MN, and his children: Tianna, Tommy, Annika, Aaliyah, Katrinna, LaDainian, and Alainna,; Jessica Jones of Hibbing and her children: Lucas, Astrea, Atreyu and Odessa; Christopher Jones in Arizona and his daughter Megan; and Jonathan Jones of Hibbing, his brothers and sisters; Jerry (Debbie) Anderson of Bovey, MN, Donna (Ron) Rollins of Marble, MN, Sandy (Fred) Francisco of Goldthwaite, TX, Sheila (Clarence) Phelps of Bovey and Tammy (Pat) Neu of Waconia, MN and his special friend and mother of Jaime and Freddie, Lolly Johnson of Nashwauk, MN
Visitation will be from 4 p.m. until the 5 p.m. services, Wednesday, Sept. 18 in the Dougherty Funeral Home, Hibbing. The Rev. Rod Tuomi will officiate. Burial will be by his mother and father in the Lakeview Cemetery, Coleraine.
