Glen Carl Fredrickson
Glen Fredrickson, 78, Hibbing, passed away from a hemorrhagic stroke on Wednesday, January 18, 2017 at Fairview Range Medical Center in Hibbing. He was born on May 4, 1938 to Carl and Ethel (Fugate) in Hibbing. Glen was a lifelong resident of Hibbing. He graduated from Hibbing High School in 1956 and then served in the National Guard. He later began working at Erie Mining Co. and his most recent employment was as at Eveleth Taconite where he was a Pioneer Employee and spent 35 years as a welder.
Glen is survived by his wife of 53 years, Dee Dee (Rosemary Catani), Hibbing, sons Tom (Tammi) of Coon Rapids and Joe (Cheryl) of Fridley, grandchildren Kate and Mike of Coon Rapids and Adrian and Olivia of Fridley, brothers Roy of Coon Rapids, Jim (Paula) of Duluth, sister, Jean Barker, brother and sister in-laws Frank and Juanita Catani of Hibbing, Adrian and Joanne Catani of Naperville, IL and nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents Carl and Ethel Fredrickson and in-laws Adrian and Rose Catani.
The family wants to recognize and thank Dr. Hilde-Philips, the ambulance crew, the ER Doctor and nurse, the hospice team, and Dougherty Funeral Home staff for their professional and personal touch in supporting our family.
A private family service was held. Interment will be at Maple Hill Cemetery of Hibbing. Arrangements are with the Dougherty Funeral Home of Hibbing.
