Glenn A. Greenwood
Glenn A. Greenwood, 87, Hibbing passed away unexpectedly at his home on May 14, 2015. He was born on May 16, 1927 in Bertha, MN, to Art and Sarah (Ward) Greenwood. Glenn was united in marriage to Viola Robbins on November 1, 1947 in Hewitt, MN. They were married for 67 years. This union was blessed with four children. They moved to Hibbing in 1950. Glenn was employed at Butlers, M.A. Hannah and National Steel retiring in 1975. Glenn was a very talented musician, he was in many bands over the years. He had many hobbies including; hunting, trapping, fishing, going to polka fests, and spending time with his family at his cabin. He will be sadly missed by his family and friends.
He is survived by his wife, Viola Greenwood, four children, Larry (Maxine) Greenwood, Dean (Nancy) Greenwood, Mark (Wendy) Greenwood, and Debra (Arnold) Makela, all of Hibbing, two brothers, Lloyd Greenwood, Henning, MN, and Juel (Albina) Greenwood, Eagle Bend, MN, ten grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, five brothers, and one sister.
Funeral services for Glenn will be held at 11:00am, Tuesday, May 19, 2015 at the First Lutheran Church in Hibbing, 2201 3

Avenue East. The Rev. Ben Schori will officiate. Visitation will be from 5-7pm, Monday, May 18, 2015 at the Dougherty Funeral Home of Hibbing. The visitation will then continue at the church on Tuesday, from 10:00am until the 11:00am service. A private family interment will be held at the Maple Hill Cemetery of Hibbing. Arrangements are with the Dougherty Funeral Home of Hibbing.
