Goldie H. Brunner
Goldie H. Brunner, 101, Hibbing, died Tuesday, April 5, 2016, at Birchwood Health Care Center, Forest Lake, MN. She was born Feb. 25, 1915, in Kinney, MN to George and Anna Chrep, Sr. Goldie had worked as a telephone operator for Northwestern Bell and was a member of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church in Hibbing. Goldie had a lovely, long-lasting marriage to Thomas Brunner for 52 years. She was a vivacious and fun-loving woman of great energy all throughout her days. She loved bridge and was still playing until past her 100 th birthday. Goldie was quite a good cook and she enjoyed casino trips. Her love for life, her sweet friends, and family have been an inspiration to all who have had the great blessing of knowing her.
She is survived by a daughter, Nancy Ludwig, of White Bear Lake, MN; three grandchildren: Roger Ludwig, Jr., Michael Ludwig, and Amy Ludwig; and by five great-grandchildren: Stephen, Rachel, Cyrus, Noah and Asher. She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Brunner, in 1993; by her son-in-law, Roger Ludwig, in 2016; by her parents; by a sister, Beatrice Brackney; and by a brother, George Chrep, Jr.
Mass of Christian burial will be held at 12:30 PM on Monday, April 11, 2016, at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, Hibbing with visitation in church for one hour prior to the Mass.
