Gwen M. Erickson, 66, Hibbing died Friday, May 18, 2018 at Cornerstone Villa in Buhl, MN.  Gwen was born in Sydney, Australia on September 11, 1951.  She attended and graduated from Stuart University in New South Wales, Australia with a Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Therapy.  Gwen followed her heart to America where she married the love of her life, Kent Erickson in 2000.  They recently celebrated 18 wonderful years of marriage.  She enjoyed traveling and fishing with him.  Gwen was very creative making cards, cross stitch, knitting and beading with her grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband Kent Erickson of Hibbing, son, Michael (Kerry) Scott, Seven Hills, NSW, daughters, Susan (Andrew) Sargent, Oberon, NSW, Candace (Clint) Erickson, Chisholm, MN, Cheri (Joe) Skull, Hibbing, MN,  Angela Erickson, Duluth, MN, mother, Mavis Brown, Forster, NSW,  sister, Dianne Wilkinson, Forster, NSW, brothers, Alan Brown, Forster, NSW, and Bob Wilkinson, Australia, 17 grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her father, Jack Brown, and brother, Mark.

Funeral services for Gwen will be 11:00 am, Friday, May 25, 2018 at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church in Hibbing.  The Rev. Fr. Gabriel Waweru will celebrate the Mass of Christian Burial.  Visitation will be one hour prior to the funeral Mass at the church on Friday.  Interment will be in Maple Hill Cemetery of Hibbing.  Arrangements are with the Dougherty Funeral Home of Hibbing.
