Gwenith Ann Thronson
Gwenith A. Thronson, 84, Hibbing died Wednesday, November 28, 2012 at the Cornerstone Villa in Buhl, MN. She was born February 20, 1928 to Owen and Flossie (Hanmer) Farrell in the Village of Hibbing. She was the fifth of nine children and graduated from the Hibbing High School. On October 19, 1946 she married Raymond Charles Thronson in Oakland, MI., and they enjoyed 60 beautiful years together. She had many jobs from delivering the newspaper to working in the lab at Hibbing General Hospital from which she retired. Her family, especially her children and grandchildren were the most important part of her life. She was a devoted member of the Assembly of God Church in Hibbing. Gwenith was loved by many and will be missed by all.
She is survived by her sons, Raymond (Roberta) Thronson, Gilbert, MN., Paul (Vicki) Thronson, Zim, MN., Lloyd (Vickie) Thronson, Gary, MN., her daughters, Betty Thronson, Hibbing, MN., Debra (Dannie) Madrinich, Hibbing, Ann (Duane) Brown, Keewatin, MN., her brother, Chum Farrell, Hibbing, MN., four sisters, Gol Kammermeyer, Little Falls, MN., Mudge Johnson, Pengilly, MN., Sara Maki, Hibbing, and Patsy (Bob) Cafourek, Gilbert, AZ., 18 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren, two great-great grandchildren, and her many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her, husband Raymond Thronson Sr., in 2007, her daughter, Peggy Thronson, parents, Owen and Flossie (Hanmer) Farrell, and three brothers, Bud, Jack, and Tom Farrell.
Funeral services for Gwenith will be held at 11:00am, Monday, December 3, 2012 at the First Assembly of God Church in Hibbing. The Rev. Dan Scally will officiate. Visitation will be one hour prior to the funeral service at the church on Monday. Interment will be in the Maple Hill Cemetery of Hibbing. Arrangements are with the Dougherty Funeral Home of Hibbing.
