Helen Jane Birdsall
Helen J. Birdsall, 90, longtime resident of Hibbing died Tuesday, July 17, 2018 at Neosho Memorial Regional Medical Center in Chanute, KS. She was born August 1, 1927 to Peter and Martha (Beckman) Bollman in St. Clair, MN. She was a resident of Hibbing for 50 years where she was employed with Red Owl Grocery in Hibbing. She was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church, and a past president of American Legion Club in Minneapolis. She was an avid bowler, loved dancing, and enjoyed watching baseball.
She is survived by her children, Michael (Jan) Birdsall, Chanute, KS, and Doyle (Nancy) Birdsall, Hibbing, siblings, Elsie Hamm, TX and Paul Bollman, Mankato, MN, two grandchildren, Erik Birdsall, Chanute, KS, and Cheryl (Todd) Eisenbeis, Kansas City, MO, and two great-grandchildren, Seth and Cole Eisenbeis, along with many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Irven Birdsall in 1994, her parents, 6 brothers and 4 sisters.
Per Helen’s request, there will be a gathering of family and friends at her graveside at 10:00 am, Wednesday, August 15, 2018 at Maple Hill Cemetery of Hibbing. The Rev. Andrew Petter will officiate. Arrangements are with the Dougherty Funeral Home of Hibbing.
