Helen Marie Bozich

Helen Marie Bozich, 92, Hibbing died Tuesday, December 11, 2018 at Guardian Angels Health and Rehabilitation Center in Hibbing.  She was born on November 5, 1926 to Albert and Jennie (Russ) Huska in Chisholm, MN.   Helen attended Chisholm Schools and graduated from Chisholm High School.  A homemaker by trade, she loved knitting, sewing, baking and crocheting as her pastimes.  She was a member of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church in Hibbing and the Slovenian Women’s Union.  She volunteered at St. Leo’s Catholic Church earlier on in her life.  Helen also worked at JC Penny’s in Hibbing.

She is survived by her two sons, Michael (Jodi) Bozich, Hibbing, and James (Cathe) Bozich, Keewatin, MN, her two brothers, Ted (Dolores) Huska, and John (Margaret) Huska, both of Hibbing, nine grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, and her nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her parents, and her husband, Matthew Bozich in 1999.

Funeral services for Helen will be 12:00 noon, Wednesday, December 19, 2018 at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church in Hibbing.  The Rev. Fr. Beau Braun will celebrate the Mass of Christian Burial.  Visitation will be from 11:00 am until the noon funeral Mass at the church on Wednesday.  Interment will be in Maple Hill Cemetery of Hibbing.  Arrangements are with the Dougherty Funeral Home of Hibbing.
