Helen Donovan

Helen Donovan age 95 of Hibbing died Thursday, November 25, 2021 at Heritage Manor in Chisholm. She was born August 26, 1926 to Anthony and Cordelia (Passino)

Angelo in Hibbing. Helen started working for the US government when she was 18 at the end of WWII and would continue her service for the next 47 years. During that time, she attained a high level of clearance and was eventually able to issue passports. In 1948 Helen was joined in marriage to the love of her life William Donovan, they built a life together on the east coast and enjoyed many years together until Williams passing in 1989. Helen was a member of the National Catholic Society of Foresters. She is survived by many nieces and nephews, extended relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Anthony and Cordelia, husband, William Donovan and 7 siblings. Memorial service will be held 11 am Friday, December 3, 2021 at Dougherty Funeral Home in Hibbing. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the services at the funeral home. Interment will be at Maple Hill Cemetery in Hibbing.
