Helen Kotyk, 89, lifelong Hibbing resident, died Thursday, Dec. 11, 2014, at Guardian Angels Health Care Center, Hibbing.  She was born in Hibbing on March 6, 1925, to John and Mary Efantis.  Helen attended Hibbing Schools and was united in marriage to Mike Kotyk.  She was a homemaker who enjoyed Greek food and was very proud of her Greek heritage.  A dream trip to Greece was a highlight of her life.  She also loved to have coffee at the Sportsman’s Restaurant in Hibbing.
Helen is survived by her close friend and caregiver, Roberta (Barry) Collins of Hibbing.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Mike Kotyk, in 1985; and by her parents.
Visitation will be Monday, December 15, 2014, at Hibbing Christian Assembly Church from 12 noon until the 1 PM funeral service.  Interment will be in Maple Hill Cemetery, Hibbing.  To leave an online message of condolence, please visit www.doughertyofhibbing.com.
