Helen Wauzynski, 87, Hibbing, died Saturday, February 09, 2013, at Fairview University Medical Center—Mesabi, Hibbing.  She was born in Hibbing on August 5, 1925, to Daniel and Ella Lastovich.  Helen graduated from Hibbing High School and was united in marriage to Edward Wauzynski on Nov. 9, 1946.  She was a homemaker and member of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church.
She is survived by three children:  Sandra (Tex) Walters, Side Lake, John (Suzanne) Wauzynski of Mountain Iron, and Linda (Fred) Lung of Fayal Twp; a brother, Daniel (Leota) Lastovich of Hibbing; eight grandchildren:  Dwayne (Paulette) Walters, Shane Walters, Owen (Jen) Walters, John (Kim) Wauzynski Jr., Cali Wauzynski, Emily Lung, Sarah Lung, and Mathew Lung; seven great-grandchildren:  Easton, Sidney, Alexis, J.T., Tayea, Chance, and Colt; two brothers-in-law, Joe Wauzynski of Yakama, WA and Len Wauzynski of Hibbing; and several nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward, in 2001; by a granddaughter, Lori Wheeler; by siblings Emil, Peter, Rudy, Anne, Mary, and Cecilia; and by her parents.
Visitation will be Friday, February 15, 2013, at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, from 10 AM until the 11 AM Mass of Christian Burial.  Interment will be in Maple Hill Cemetery, Hibbing.  Arrangements are with Dougherty Funeral Home, Hibbing.  To leave a message of condolence, please visit www.doughertyofhibbing.com.
