Inga McCarroll Ward
Inga C. McCarroll Ward, 95, Hibbing died Thursday, August 28, 2014, at Guardian Angels Rehabilitation Center in Hibbing. She was born on December 5, 1918, to Martin and Ingeborg (Langland) Munson in Hoffman, MN. Inga lived in North Dakota, California, Deer River, MN, and Washington State before moving to Hibbing in 1992. A mother and waitress, Inga enjoyed sewing, traveling, and gardening with flowers and vegetables. She was a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary in Hibbing.
She is survived by three sons: Mike (Bev) McCarroll, Calumet, MN, David McCarroll, Poulsbo, WA, and Steve McCarroll, Marysville, WA; a daughter, Judy (Larry) Pierce, Mt. Iron, MN; a daughter-in-law, Louise McCarroll; by 18 grandchildren, 36 great-grandchildren, 8 great-great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two husbands, Joe McCarroll and later, Howard Ward; a daughter, Jean Fulton; a son, Kenny McCarroll; a son-in-law, Bill Fulton; and a daughter-in-law, Murna McCarroll.
Funeral services for Inga will be held at 11:00am, Saturday, September 6, 2014, at Dougherty Funeral Home, Hibbing. Interment will be in Olivet Cemetery in Deer River, MN. Arrangements are with Dougherty Funeral Home of Hibbing.
