Iris G. Ysen, 85, Hibbing, died Tuesday, September 2, 2014, at Guardian Angels Health Care Center, Hibbing. She was born in Bagley, MN on Jan. 23, 1929, to Edward and Camilla Hopke. Iris was a loving wife and mother.
She is survived by five children: Julie (Dean) Claussen of Hermantown, MN, June (Louis) Lyman Bruno of Hibbing, Jean (Joseph) Corradi of Oslo, MN, Scott Ysen of Hibbing, and Greg (Mona) Ysen of Hibbing; by 7 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; three sisters: Ruth Pavleck of International Falls, MN, Jeanette (William) Smrcka of Worthington, MN, and Fern Goodnough of Virginia, MN; and by numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Ysen; by a daughter, Vickie Ysen; by a granddaughter, Amy Claussen; by her parents, three brothers, and four sisters.
The family will gather to smile and remember Iris at Binster’s Restaurant in Hibbing on Friday September 5, 2014, from 2—4 PM. Friends are asked to please join them.
