Jack L. Johnson, 85, Cloverdale, MN, passed away peacefully Wednesday, November 27, 2013 at his home surrounded by his loving family.  He was born in Chicago, Ill. to William and Iola Johnson on December 21, 1927. Jack married Alice Countryman on December 13, 1947 and had been employed at Butler Brothers as a vulcanizer. He enjoyed woodworking, snowmobiling, hunting, and all outdoor activities.  He loved playing his guitar, singing, and composing his own songs and poetry.   He was an outstanding, loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend.
Jack will be deeply missed by his wife, Alice, children, Teresa “Terri” (Jim) Rathbun, Pinetop, AZ, Jerry Johnson, Nashwauk, and Sue (Jim) Pakkala, Show Low, AZ; his 7 grandchildren, James and Steven Gilbertson, Tisha (Don) Robertson, Renee (Corey) Twilligear, April and Joshua Johnson, and Shannon Knaus; his 8 great grandchildren; and his sister, Karen Hausken, Longville, MN. Jack was preceded in death by his parents, and siblings, Lavonne Leiss, Carol Kline, Elvin and William Johnson.
Memorial services will be held in the Cloverdale Mennonite Church on Saturday, December 7th at 11:30 a.m. with Pastor Jack Tillotson officiating.   Visitation will be held in the Church one hour before the service with a light lunch following the service.  A Celebration of Life service will be held in Phoenix, Arizona.

The family would like to thank Fairview Home care and Hospice for their wonderful care especially Deanne Zimmerman and Jeannie Fairbanks. Arrangements are with the Dougherty Funeral Home.
