Jane C. Knezovich

Jane C. Knezovich, 81, Hibbing, died Saturday, November 5, 2016, at Home Sweet Home in Hibbing.  She was born in Mankato, MN on Dec. 1, 1934, to James T. and Nina Taylor.  Jane was united in marriage to Milan Knezovich on Sept. 3, 1955, and they made their home in Hibbing.  Jane worked in the anesthesiology department at Hibbing General Hospital, retiring from University Medical Center—Mesabi.  She loved her coworkers and was proud to have worked with so many good people for so many years.  She enjoyed gardening and watching the birds from her backyard window.  She also loved chatting and checking in with the Joe Marturano family through the same window.  Jane looked at them as an extension of her own family.  Jane became a great fan of  NCIS and never missed the show.  Jane’s grandkids were her world.  She even learned to use a smart phone so she could stay in touch with them by text message.

She is survived by three children:  Nancy Knezovich of Side Lake, MN; David (Mary) Knezovich of West St. Paul, MN, and Michelle (David) Jordan of Winthrop, MN; four grandchildren:  Neal and Kyle Knezovich and Milan and Taylor Jordan; by four siblings:  Judy Taylor, James (Joann) Taylor, Richard Taylor, and Robert (Diane) Taylor, all of California; and by nieces and nephews Jolene Taylor, Ted Taylor, Sam Taylor of Hawaii, Chris Taylor, Tracy Taylor, Scott Taylor, and Shana Taylor of New Orleans.   She was preceded in death by her husband, Milan, in 2004; a son, Stephen, in 2013; and her parents.

Visitation will be, Friday, Nov. 18, 2016 from 12 Noon until the celebration of  Jane’s life and a time of sharing to be held  at 1 p.m. in Dougherty Funeral Home of Hibbing.  Interment will be in Ma
