Jay H. Maki
Jay H. Maki, 56, lifelong resident of the Hibbing and Keewatin area died Wednesday, January 28, 2015 in Hibbing. He was born on January 29, 1958 to Robert and Sara (Farrell) Maki in Hibbing. Jay was all about kids, his grandchildren and nieces and nephews meant the world to him. He was an avid fisherman, enjoyed traveling, and hunting throughout his lifetime.
He is survived by his three children, Derek (Ashely Erickson) Maki, Shanelle (Shane) Chiaravalle, and Shane Kerr, all of Hibbing, his five siblings, Terry Maki, Keewatin, Jill (Joe) DeNucci, Nashwauk, Sue (Dave) Stalboerger, Keewatin, Greg Maki, Nashwauk, MN, and Gail (Kurt) Mohawk, Hibbing, ten grandchildren, Andrew, Ashley, Billie, Jesse, John, Dylan, David, Dustyn, Ayden, and Kohlton, and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, sister-in-law, Theresa Maki, and brother, Robert Owen Maki.
Funeral services for Jay will be 11:00am, Tuesday, February 3, 2015 at the Hibbing Alliance Church. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the funeral service at the church on Tuesday. Arrangements are with the Dougherty Funeral Home of Hibbing.
