Jean M. (Beel) Brown

Jean M. Brown, 69, lifelong resident of Hibbing died Saturday, October 22, 2016 at Guardian Angels Health and Rehabilitation Center in Hibbing.  She was born on December 18, 1946 to Archie and Selma (Hamnes) Beel in Hibbing.  She attended Hibbing schools and graduated from Hibbing High School.  From an early age, Jean was an avid horse enthusiast and a lover of dogs.  But more than anything, her home and family meant everything to her.

She is survived by her husband, Daniel Brown, Hibbing, two sons, Daniel (Rebecca) Watkins-Brown Jr., Ft. Collins, CO, and Charles (Karen) Brown, Valencia, CA, siblings, Barbara Vesel, Beatrice (Marvin) Adams, Fred (Maureen) Beel, and Nancy (Doyle Birdsall) Bednar, all of Hibbing, seven grandchildren, Emmett Watkins-Brown, Cora Watkins-Brown, Thatcher Watkins-Brown, Hudson Watkins-Brown, Makena Brown, Nyla Brown, and Jax Brown, along with numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Archie and Selma Beel.

There will be a private family celebration of her life held at a later date.  Interment will be in Maple Hill Cemetery of Hibbing.  Arrangements are with the Dougherty Funeral Home of Hibbing.
