Jeanette Kay Holtan
Jeanette Kay Holtan, 52, Nashwauk, died Monday April 8, 2013, at Fairview University of Minnesota Hospital in Minneapolis, after being diagnosed with cancer in January. She was born in Thief River Falls, MN on August 29, 1960, to Joseph and Mabel Holtan. Jeanette graduated from Lincoln High School in Thief River Falls and had lived most of her life in Nashwauk. She worked at MDI in Hibbing for ten years and attended Cloverdale Mennonite Church. She loved animals, especially her horses, and for years was involved with horse shows. Jeanette also enjoyed gardening and taking care of her farm.
She is survived by three children: Brian (Wendy) Holtan of Brainerd, MN, Sara Pollock of Nashwauk, and Kevin (Crystal Graham) Pollock of Keewatin; four siblings: Russel (Sheila) Holtan of Oakwood, ND, Mary Lian of Aurora, MN, Dale (Deb) Holtan of Newfolden, MN and Dean Holtan of Thief River Falls, MN; two grandchildren: Tyler Holtan and Paige DeFrang; nieces and nephews: Chad, Charity, Amber, Amanda, Aaron, Katrina, Kassi, and Joseph; and numerous cousins. Jeanette was preceded in death by her parents and by a niece, Kelsey.
Visitation will be Saturday, April 13, 2013, at Nashwauk Alliance Church, from 10—11 AM .
Funeral service will be 11 AM Saturday, April 13, 2013, at Nashwauk Alliance Church. Interment will be in held Monday in Greenwood Cemetery, Thief River Falls, MN.
