Jeanette M. Westby, 86, Hibbing died Thursday October 6, 2016 at St. Luke’s Hospital in Duluth, MN.  Jeanette was born on July 11, 1930 to John and Esther (Niemi) Aho in Virginia, MN.  She had been a resident of Hibbing since 1960.  A homemaker by trade, Jeanette enjoyed her home and family dearly.  She liked gardening, painting ceramics, cooking and baking.  She was a member of Grace Lutheran Church in Hibbing.

Jeanette is survived by her sons, Dale (Mary Alice) Westby, Scandia, MN, and Ken (Leanne) Westby, Hibbing, MN, six grandchildren, Kelly Westby, Danny Ronchetti, Nathan (Esther) Westby, Laura (William) Roberts, Seth (Jessie) Westby, and Kara (J.R.) Albrecht, 11 great-grandchildren, Tianna Aikey, Aleecia Aikey, Konnor Westby-Speece, Korbin Ronchetti, Levi Westby, Tyson Westby, Ashley Roberts, Katelyn Roberts, Savanna Westby, Kyle Albrecht, and Aubrie Albrecht, and one great-great-grandson, Carson.  She was preceded in death by her daughter, Shelly Ronchetti, parents, and her husband, Verlyn Westby in 2012.

Funeral services for Jeanette will be 1:00pm, Wednesday, October 12, 2016 at Dougherty Funeral Home of Hibbing.  The Rev. Tim Yearyean will officiate.  Visitation will be held one hour prior to the funeral service at the funeral home on Wednesday.  Interment will be in Maple Hill Cemetery of Hibbing.  Arrangements are with the Dougherty Funeral Home of Hibbing.
