Jeffery Everett Shuper
1969-2017
Jeffery "Jeff" Everett Shuper, 48 passed away in a vehicle accident on Thursday, October 12th in Canton, Mississippi. He was born May 9th, 1969 to James and Carol Shuper in Hibbing, Minnesota.
Since he was a young boy, he was fascinated with the carnival. He began his lifelong career with Farrow Amusements at the age of 18. Jeff held the highest achievements in amusement ride safety certification. He was known all over North America and Europe as one of the top amusement ride technicians in the United States. Jeff's love for the industry ran much deeper than knowledge of equipment, he was known as the most respected Ride Manager in the business, providing his crew each year with incredible travel experiences. A quote he lived by, "To handle yourself, use your head. To handle others, use your heart".
Jeff loved the movies. He also loved to travel. For the last 12 years he and his partner Kathy have travelled all over the world. Favorite places included London, Paris, Rome, Edinburgh and Iceland. Jeff also shared a very special trip with his parents to Niagara Falls.
Jeff is survived by his father, James Shuper. His brothers Jim and Everett Shuper. His sister in law Lisa Shuper. His sister Carol Jean Shuper. His partner Kathy Karatzias. His Uncle Don & Kathy Swanson, Uncle Keith & Connie Swanson, Uncle Butchie & Kittie Swanson. Nieces, Sarah & Toni-Ann Shuper and great niece, Vanessa Shuper.
He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Emily Swanson, grandfather, Everett Swanson and mother, Carol Shuper.
Viewing will be held Thursday, October 19th at 5pm at the Dougherty Funeral Home in Hibbing, Minnesota. Funeral Service will be held Friday, October 20th at 10am at the First Lutheran Church in Hibbing, Minnesota.
