Jeremy Michael Jacobson, 48, of Sawyer, Minnesota, passed away unexpectedly on January 27, 2025. Born on July 1, 1976, in New Ulm, Jeremy spent his formative years in Hibbing, Minnesota.
A graduate of Hibbing High School, Jeremy furthered his education at Staples Technical College earning a Machinist degree and Lake Superior College, earning a degree in Integrated Manufacturing Technology. He was on the Dean’s List and earned a certificate in SolidWorks (CAD). His professional journey led him to Lake Assault Boats in Superior, Wisconsin, where he excelled as a Marine Designer. Jeremy enjoyed designing boats and showcasing his remarkable creativity and technical skill.
Jeremy is survived by his parents, Steve and Gay Jacobson; sister, Carrie Jacobson; brother, Paul (Lisa) Jacobson; twin sister, Holly Taylor (Matt Jeske); and his six nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by both sets of grandparents and his brother-in-law, Brian Taylor.
In his free time, Jeremy was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing and being outdoors. His quick wit and dry sense of humor were legendary among his family and friends, who will forever remember his ability to make them dissolve into laughter with his unexpected, deadpan comments.
Jeremy’s family is planning a memorial service for him later this year and details will be announced at a future date. They appreciate the outpouring of love and support during this difficult time.
