Jerome LeRoy Skalsky

Jerome L. Skalsky, 82, Chisholm and formerly of Hibbing died Saturday, June 1, 2019 at his home in Chisholm.  He was born June 9, 1936 to Steve and Nellie (Herbert) Skalsky in Hibbing.  Jerome was a member of First Assembly of God Church in Chisholm, MN.  He was an avid outdoorsman, loved fishing with his family, hunting, watching all kinds of sports and country westerns on television.

He is survived by his 5 children, Lee (April) Skalsky, New Lisbon, WI, Jenny Swanson, Detroit Lakes, MN, Milton “Buddy” (Danielle) Jensen, Chisholm, MN, John (Liz) Skalsky, and Jerry (Jolena) Skalsky, both of Brownsville, WI, siblings, Clem Skalsky, Keewatin, MN, and Doug (Patty) Skalsky, Kelly Lake, MN, many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Steve and Nellie (Herbert) Skalsky, along with 7 brothers and sisters.

Funeral services for Jerome will be 3:00 pm, Thursday, June 6, 2019 at First Assembly of God Church in Chisholm, MN.  The Rev.  Micah Reed will officiate.  Visitation will be one hour prior to the funeral service at the church on Thursday.  Arrangements are with the Doughety Funeral Home of Hibbing.
