Jerome Leigh “Jerry” Westby
Jerome Leigh “Jerry” Westby, 66, Akeley, MN, died peacefully in his home on Friday, August 15, 2014. He was born in Los Angeles, CA on July 19, 1948, to Walter and Jean Westby. Jerry grew up in California and moved to Minnesota in 1965. He had lived in Akeley for the past 35 years. Jerry was a charter member of I.R.M.C.
He is survived by four siblings: Richard A. “Dick” (Deborah) Johnson of Fridley, MN, Randy (Sandra Guse) Westby of North Branch, MN, Vicki L. (Westby) Abate of Hibbing, and Lawrence D. Westby of Keewatin; his girlfriend of 25 years, Bernie DeNucci, of Keewatin; several nieces and nephews; and by Gregory (Wendy) Westby of Michigan. Jerry was preceded in death by his parents.
