JoAnn P. Fiori, 70, lifelong Hibbing resident died Friday, October 20, 2017 surrounded by her family at Heritage Manor in Chisholm. She was born in Hibbing to Clarence and Lucy (Roberts) Lilya on August 9, 1947and had worked for INAC in the lunch room at the Greenhaven Elementary School for 20 years, with the Hibbing School District. She was a member of the Red Hat Society, Silver Fit and the Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church. She enjoyed shopping, going to the Casino, yard work, going to the movies with friends and especially babysitting the grandkids. The family would like to thank Fairview Range Home/Hospice and the Heritage Manor for the care they gave JoAnn.
JoAnn is survived by her husband Gerald, three daughters, Rochelle (Kip) Kennedy, Virginia, MN, Nicole (Jeff) Laitala and Kari (Pat) Bolden, both of Hibbing, her brother, Bob (Judy) Lilya, Spring Lake Park, MN, six grandchildren, Bryce and Elizabeth Kennedy, Ava and Ella Laitala, and Evan and Ty Bolden. She was preceded in death by her parents, and sisters Kathleen Lindstrom, Barbara Ranta and her beloved pet Zoe.
Memorial services will be held at 11;00 a.m. Thursday; Oct. 26, 2017 in the Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church. Visitation will be in the church from 10 a.m. until services time. Burial will be in the Maple Hill Cemetery, Hibbing.
