JOANN MILDRED KOSOVICH
May 19, 1935 – February 9, 2012

JoAnn Mildred Kosovich died on Thursday, February 9, 2011 in Little Falls, Minnesota.  JoAnn lived in Hibbing, Minnesota for 50 years before moving to assisted living in Little Falls in April, 2011.

Mildred Joann Urdahl, known as “JoAnn” for most of her life, was born on May 19, 1935 near Mahnomen, Minnesota.  Her parents were Selmer and Elvina Urdahl.  JoAnn graduated from the Thief River Falls High School in 1953.

JoAnn Urdahl married Louis Kosovich on May 7, 1960 in Hibbing. JoAnn was a dental assistant before her marriage.  She was a homemaker for most of her life.  JoAnn is survived by her son Todd and his wife Martha of Little Falls, as well as her three granddaughters: Katie, Monica and Maria.  She is also survived by her sisters Eva Quirk of Chisholm and Betty Anderson of Lindstrom and by her brother David Urdahl of Hibbing as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

JoAnn was preceded in death by her husband Louie on August 7, 2011.  JoAnn was also preceded in death by her parents, her brothers Eidor, Einer, Dennis and Howard as well as her sisters Orla (Matt) Brusven, Sella (Warren) Werneke, and Eva Urdahl.

Visitation will be one hour prior to the funeral which will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, February 18th in the Dougherty Funeral Home, Hibbing.  The family specifically requested that there be no flowers due to allergies in the immediate family.
