Joe “Jojo” Terzich
Joe “Jojo” Terzich, 71, Kelly Lake, died Monday, October 7, 2013, at Abbott Northwestern Hospital in Minneapolis. He was born in Pool Location near Hibbing on Feb. 28, 1942, to Joe and Eva Terzich. He grew up in Pool Location and later moved to Kelly Lake. He graduated from Hibbing High School and was the owner/operator of Terzich’s Store in Kelly Lake. He loved the races and going to the casino. Jojo was a true "Kelly Laker."
He is survived by his wife, Marianne, of Kelly Lake; her children Alice (Fred) Prtine with grandchildren Rick Prtine and Samantha (Jeremy Gustafson) Prtine; and Jack (Roberta Middlestead) Sanborn and Roberta’s children Mike, Shelby, Marisa, and Bailey, all of Hibbing; a special great-grandson, Hunter Gustafson; his brothers: Dan (Gena) Terzich, Michael Terzich, Steve (Dolly) Terzich; a sister, Sharon (Marty) Ban; many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. He will be missed by all who knew him.
Per Joe’s wishes, there will be no funeral services. Instead, please join his family for a celebration of Joe’s life on Saturday, October 12, 2013, from 2—6 PM at St. Michael’s Serbian Hall in Hibbing.
