Joel W. Webster

Joel W. Webster, 77, Nashwauk, former Hibbing resident died Wednesday, March 9, 2016 at Fairview University Medical Center in Hibbing.  He was born in Effie, MN to Earl and Margaret (Randall) Webster on September 18, 1938 and was a U.S. Army Veteran. He was employed with Hibbing Taconite as a warehouseman/purchaser. Joel loved the outdoors including hunting and fishing.  He enjoyed working with his hands, soldering and woodworking. He was a former volunteer driver to the Veterans Administration Hospital.

Joel is survived by his wife, Jeanette, sons, Monte Webster, Hibbing, and Darren Webster of Nashwauk, his sister, Myrna Webster, Denver, Colo. and grandson, Rick Webster, Nashwauk.  He was preceded in death by his sons, Rick in 1999, and Mark in 2014, brother, Leon Webster, and sister, Wanda Majerle.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm. Monday, March 14, 2016 in the Hibbing Christian Assembly with Pastor Rod Tuomi officiating.  Visitation will be in Church one hour before the service.  Burial will be in Maple Hill Cemetery.  Military honors will be accorded by the Mid-Range Honor Guard. Arrangements are with the Dougherty Funeral Home.
