John Milosevich

John George Milosevich
John G. Milosevich, 84, Hibbing, formerly of Leetonia died Monday January 21, 2013 at home.  He was born on August 15, 1928 to George and Katherine (Starcevic) Milosevic in Leetonia Location.  John was a 1946 Hibbing High School graduate. After high school, John enlisted in the U.S. Army, serving his country proudly as an Occupational Troop in Germany.  He later completed two years of education from the Minnesota School of Business.  He was employed as a Schedule Clerk for Hanna Mining Company.  John was a member of the Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, the VFW Post 8510 of Hibbing, the American Legion, the Hibbing Elks Lodge, the Algonquin Club in Hibbing, and the Hibbing Bocce Club.  His pastimes for the most part were sports, John enjoyed fastpitch softball, senior curling, senior bowling, and senior golf.  After retirement, he loved to play “Texas hold em.”
He is survived by his son, James J. (Margaret) Milosevich, New Brighton, MN., sisters, Mary Powell, Minneapolis, MN., Katherine Ongaro, Hibbing, and Josephine Milosevic, Leetonia, MN., two grandchildren, Michael and Matthew Milosevich, New Brighton, MN., and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Katherine Milosevic, wife, Betty Milosevich in 2005, and two infant sisters.
Funeral services for John will be held at 11:00am, Saturday, January 26, 2013 at the Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church in Hibbing.  The Rev. Fr. Brian Lederer will celebrate the Mass of Christian Burial.  Visitation will be held one hour prior to the funeral Mass at the church on Saturday.  Interment will be in the Maple Hill Cemetery of Hibbing.  Arrangements are with the Dougherty Funeral Home of Hibbing.
