Joseph B. Nosan, 96, Kitzville, died Thursday April 12, 2012, at Guardian Angels Health Care Center, Hibbing.  He was born in Kitzville to Frank Nosan and Agnes Znidarsicka on Feb. 28, 1916.  He received his diploma from Hibbing High School in June of 2003.  He met his wife Margaret Simonson in Buhl, MN and they were married November 29, 1947 at Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Buhl.  They moved to Kitzville in 1948 and have lived there ever since.  Joseph coached the youth hockey program in Kitzville for thirteen years and loved gardening and working in his garage and on machinery.  He wife and family were always the center of his life.  Joseph worked for Hanna Mining Company for 33 years at the Douglas Mine, Pierce Mine and finally as a foreman at Butler Taconite in Nashwauk.
He will be missed by his wife, Margaret, of Kitzville; children, Douglas (Patricia) Nosan of Baudette, MN and Francis Nosan of White Bear Lake, MN; 3 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by his parents, by brothers Anthony, Frank, Carl and Matt and sisters Agnes, Mary, and Frances.
Funeral services will be at 1 PM Monday, April 23, 2012, at Dougherty Funeral Home, Hibbing.  Visitation for Joseph will be held privately.  Interment will be in Maple Hill Cemetery, Hibbing.
