Joseph Paul DeBaere
Joseph P. DeBaere, 60, Hibbing died Saturday, January 18, 2014 at home with his family by his side. He was born on November 10, 1953 to Eugene and Louise (Loke) DeBaere in Marshall, MN. Joseph spent his childhood and early adulthood in the Aurora/Hoyt Lakes area. Joseph lived in Gilbert for five years, and most recently was a resident of the Hibbing area for the past 28 years. He was employed with Reintjes Refractory and lately with United Refractory where his career spanned over 41 years. He was a vested member of the local Bricklayers Union # 1, and the Labor Local #1097. He was an avid hunter and fisherman, and especially loved his deer hunting. He also was a heavy traveler with his career as a bricklayer.
He is survived by his wife, Kay DeBaere, Hibbing, his daughter, Christine (Brian Chapman) Cromley, Aurora, MN, his son, Paul DeBaere, Nashwauk, MN, his five siblings, Thomas DeBaere, Bakersfield, CA, Gerard DeBaere, Florida, Michael (Denise) DeBaere, Aurora, MN, Patricia (Jim) Nemec, Meadowlands, MN, and Roberta (Leslie) Alto, Aurora, MN, his five grandchildren, Samantha, Alexsandra, Andrea, and Danyelle Cromley, and Joseph G. DeBaere, and his many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral services for Joseph will be held at 1:00pm, Wednesday, January 22, 2014 at the Dougherty Funeral Home of Hibbing. Visitation will be one hour prior to the funeral service at the funeral home on Wednesday. Arrangements are with the Dougherty Funeral Home of Hibbing.
