Josephine Marie “Josie” Argir
Josephine Marie “Josie” Argir, 81, Buhl, former lifelong Keewatin resident died Tuesday, June 25, 2013 at Cornerstone Villa in Buhl.  She was born in Keewatin, to Joseph and Antonette Kukich on September 16, 1931 and grew up in Bennett Location.  Josie was well known in Keewatin and operated Josie’s Beauty Shop out of her home.  She volunteered with meals on wheels, was a member of CCW and was an active member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Keewatin having served as Trustee.
She will be missed by her two sons, Ralph J. Argir, Hibbing, and Joseph (Lynette) Argir of Chisholm, her sister, Emma Betts, Grand Rapids, 4 grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Ralph on March 16, 2013, daughter Joan Marie Argir, and brother Robert Kukich.
Funeral services will be held at noon on Friday, June 28, 2013 in the Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church with the Rev. Fr. Fredrick Method celebrating the Mass of Christian Burial.  Visitation will be in Church Friday staring at 10:30 am.  Burial will be in Maple Hill Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be her grandchildren, Sean Argir, Benjamin Argir, Jeremy Argir, and Samantha Argir, and Emil and George Hakomaki. Arrangements are with the Dougherty Funeral Home.
