Josephine Jeanette Yeshe
Josephine Jeanette Yeshe, 94, Hibbing died Tuesday, February 24, 2015, surrounded by her family at Range Fairview Medical Center in Hibbing. She was born in Hibbing’s Kitzville Location to Antone and Jennie (Bertucci) Jerulle on January 23, 1921. She will be remembered as a kind, caring, fun loving women who always had a smile on her face and a song in her heart. Her family and strong faith were the things that kept her going. She enjoyed watching Wheel of Fortune and playing Words with Friends.
Josephine volunteered at the University Medical Center Mesabi in Hibbing, Golden Crest Nursing Home, and managed and served meals with AEOA at the library in Hibbing. She owned and operated Yeshe Transfer with her husband William Yeshe. She was a member of the Slovenian Lodge, Degree of Honor and the Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church.
Josephine is survived by her four daughters, Barbara Brooks, Duluth, Jeanne (Larry) Roy, Grand Rapids, Janet (Mark) Thune, Hibbing, and Julie (Kevin) Mattila, Duluth, 12 grandchildren, Terri (Chauncey) Riggs, Debbie (Bruce) Foster, Tony Roy, Brian (Denise) Roy, Todd (Shelly) Roy, Lynn (John) Acheson, Sarah (Brad) Diaz, Jeffrey Thune, Tawni (Jussi) Jaakola, Keeley (Jimmy) Talbot, Brook (Heidi) Mattila, Mathew Mattila, 12 great grandchildren, two more on the way, and nieces and nephew. She was preceded in death by her husband, William, her parents, siblings, Ralph, Frank, and Bruno Jerulle, Rosie Ciulini, Elizabeth Spinelli, and Angeline Pechovnik.
Funeral services will be held at Noon, Tuesday, March 3, 2015 in the Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church with the Rev. Fr. Gabriel Waweru celebrating the Mass. Visitation will be in Church starting at 11:00 am. Burial will be in Maple Hill Cemetery. Arrangements are with the Dougherty Funeral Home.
